Everything you wanted to know but were afraid to ask…
This is the part of our website where you can ask about the things you have heard or need clarification on. Perhaps you have been told something by a sales rep and you’d like to double check that their advice is accurate, or perhaps you want a little information.
Whatever the reason you can email us at info@sc-windows.com and we will do our best to answer any queries that you might have.
We have listed a few frequently asked questions here with our answers, we hope this helps.
- · How can I tell if it’s a reputable company?
- This is very difficult and one which many people have asked.
- As with most things “the proof is in the pudding”. Ask for addresses in your local area where the company has installed its products, look at their website and ensure they have a real trading address, if possible visit their showroom so you can see for yourself the type of company they are.
- When looking for a window company the cheapest is not always the best, ask yourself if you think what they are asking is a fair price for the work. Many complaints made against double glazing companies are concerning their lack of after sales service and the fact that they fail after a few years trading.
- The simple truth is that if you push the company to a lower and lower price then the profit in your installation is squeezed to such a level that it becomes unprofitable to attend service calls. Agree a price which you think is fair. Don’t be afraid to sign on the night, sometimes the best negotiating tool is to offer this, it will certainly get the sales person to sharpen their pencil.
